Snapchat Lenses · Nigeria

Your logo, your colours, in every guest's story.

234&That builds custom Snapchat Lenses for Nigerian weddings, venues, clubs and brands. A guest scans a printed code at your event and your branding rides every snap they send — designed by a studio that came to software from seven years of design practice, five of them producing garments.

New to Snapchat?

A Snap lens is your brand, on their camera.

It's an effect inside Snapchat's camera. Your guests don't download anything — they open Snapchat, and your frame, logo or animation appears around them in every photo and video they take.

  1. ScanOpen Snapchat, point the camera at the printed code, press and hold.
  2. SnapYour lens opens on their camera — your branding around their face, moving with them.
  3. SendThey post it to their story or send it to friends. Your brand travels with every snap.

AWAKENING Day 1 lens: the DAY 1 title passes behind the guest's hair
Event · person occlusion

AWAKENING — Harvesters

For a five-night Lagos conference. The day title sits behind the guest — the lens cuts them out live — and it changes itself each night of the run.

Overalls lens: gold lion crest, wordmark and store address framing the guest
Brand · store launch

Overalls — Premium Brands

For the pre-launch of a Lekki flagship store. The brand's own crest and gold, drawn from their files to the pixel, with the store address in every snap.

Why Snapchat, and why now

Instagram and Facebook shut their custom-filter platform in January 2025 — no business can publish a custom IG filter anymore. Snapchat is the one platform where a guest scans a printed code at a physical event and unlocks your filter on the spot.

19.6M

Snapchat's ad reach in Nigeria — roughly double Instagram's 9.9M, and growing about 30% year on year while Instagram's shrinks. Strongest with 18–34s, the guests who actually post.

₦0/month

Once published, your Lens is live permanently. No hosting, no renewal, no ad spend required. You pay for the build, once. (Geofencing is optional, and it is the only part with a monthly cost.)

4–10 days

From signed brief to a Lens live on Snapchat, with a printed scan code delivered for your tables, flyers and screens.

How it works

01

Brief

Logo, colours, event date. One call or a WhatsApp thread — that's the whole meeting.

02

Build

The studio designs and codes the Lens, shows you a recorded preview, revises once, and submits to Snapchat.

03

Print

You get a print-ready scan code pack — table tents, flyer blocks, a projector slide. The code at your venue is the geofence.

04

Event day

The Lens goes live on the morning. Guests scan, snap, and send — your branding on every story that leaves the room.

Make it appear automatically — geofencing

Every Lens comes with a printed scan code, free to run forever. Add geofencing to any Lens and it can also show up in the Lens carousel of Snapchat users near your venue, without a scan.

  • + ₦150,000 setup — ad account, geofence around your venue and the first 30-night campaign
  • + ₦100,000 a month — campaign monitoring, a monthly delivery report and one themed re-skin
  • Snapchat ad budget from US$10 per night, in 30-night campaigns (at least US$300 a month), paid to Snapchat on your own card — never part of our fee*
  • Competes, not guaranteed — the Lens enters Snapchat's ad auction, so it can reach nearby users but is not guaranteed to reach every one; your monthly report shows what was delivered
Geofenced Static Lens₦350,000+ ₦100,000/month
Geofenced 3D Lens₦450,000+ ₦100,000/month
Geofenced Game Lens₦650,000+ ₦100,000/month

Snapchat reviews every campaign before it runs, so allow a few extra days on the build time. Campaigns start only once approved.

Printed-code Static and 3D Lenses are invoiced in full on commissioning. Game Lens is 60% on signing, 40% on delivery. Geofenced: a first invoice (build, setup and first month) under ₦500,000 is paid in full; ₦500,000 and above is 60/40. Later months are invoiced at the start of each month. Fixed prices, fixed scope.

* Snapchat's own minimum is about US$5 per day; we set US$10 per night so the lens reaches enough guests to matter.

Straight answers

Will everyone at my event use it?
No — and anyone who promises that is selling you something. Snapchat skews under 35. What you're buying is reach among the guests who post: the 18–34s whose stories are where your event gets seen by everyone who wasn't there.
Is this a Snapchat ad? Do I pay Snapchat?
Not unless you choose geofencing. You pay 234&That for the build. The Lens publishes as a free, permanent Community Lens — Snapchat charges nothing to run it, ever, and your printed code at the venue does the job for free. If you add geofencing to your Lens, you also fund a Snapchat ad budget, from US$10 per night in 30-night campaigns on your own card (Snapchat's own minimum is about US$5 per day; we set US$10 per night so the lens reaches enough guests to matter), and we set it up for ₦150,000 and run the campaign for ₦100,000 a month. It is still not a paid Snapchat takeover: your Lens competes in Snapchat's ad auction, so it reaches nearby users, not all of them.
Can't we just use the built-in filter maker?
You can — and it will look like the built-in one. This studio's Lenses are designed and coded by hand: artwork rendered to the pixel, live logic like countdowns and day-by-day text that update themselves, effects that pass behind the person in frame.
What's actually been shipped?
Most recently: two Lenses for a five-night Lagos conference — one with live person occlusion, one that counts down to the event and switches its own text every night of the run. 354 unlocks in the first 48 hours, before a single code was printed.
